Programs in Action, Futures in Motion
Foster Success prioritizes the voices of those with lived experience as they navigate our five impact areas: Educational Success, Financial Empowerment, Health & Well-Being, Workforce Readiness, and Youth Engagement.
Educational Success
Educational Success programs support young people throughout their entire educational journey to ensure they achieve success. We start in high school and support their transition to college or a job training program through graduation or certification.

“I earned my bachelor's degree with a 3.9 GPA and am now in a master's program for Marriage and Family Therapy. Foster Success’s ETV program has helped me break cycles, build a brighter future, and stay committed to making a difference for others who come from similar backgrounds. I am so grateful for the opportunity to grow, succeed, and give back.”
– Valerie
Financial Empowerment
Financial Empowerment programs are designed to support young people with their financial goals through financial literacy and tools for them to earn, access, and save money.
they manage their money well
"I am so grateful I was able to not only partake in the Opportunity Passport® training, but also be able to use the funds on my first car purchase. The importance of truly being financially literate became ever so apparent to me as I worked towards my ultimate goal, and having financial support coupled with supportive mentors helped me breeze through the process once I was ready.”
– Marcellus
Health & Well-Being
The Health & Well-Being programs provide holistic resources that strengthen the confidence, knowledge, and abilities of young people so they can become effective advocates for their own health.
“Getting rides through the Basic Needs program may seem small, but they meant everything to me. Without them, I wouldn’t have made it to my OBGYN appointments. Foster Success helped keep both me and my baby healthy.”
– Sofia
Workforce Readiness
Workforce Readiness programs ensure teens and young adults aging out of foster care have a clear and supportive path to good and promising jobs.
meeting a work related goal
“Foster Success has given me the chance to be a part of new change. Women only cover 4% of the welding industry. The Workforce Readiness program provided the opportunity to be part of expanding that number, while also letting me develop new skills that I can use for the upcoming future. Welding is a very high demand field which is giving me a lot of hope for my new career path. There are so many new opportunities coming for me and I’m excited for them.”
